Innovative Infrastructure Council

A high-tech and future-oriented economy that provides better connectivity for Canadians and businesses across the country requires improving and building our digital infrastructure.

The Council

If Canada’s manufacturing sector is to adopt productivity-enhancing tools and approaches, including automation, it needs end-to-end digital access. At the same time, advancements in artificial intelligence and quantum, as well as the broader digitization of the economy, are creating a demand for increased data capacity and computational power across multiple sectors and value chains. The future of advanced manufacturing and next-generation communications depends on Canada deploying new infrastructure optimized for cyber-physical systems.

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce and its members on the Innovative Infrastructure Council are focused on advocating for government policies that ensure Canada is building towards a high-tech industrial reality and an innovative, future-oriented economy. The Council’s primary goal is to influence policy decisions and priorities that will enhance our digital infrastructure and prioritize connectivity for Canadians and businesses.

The Council serves as a forward-looking, action-oriented national forum for leaders and organizations across industries that are ready to help Canada attract investment and remain globally competitive in this new era of connectivity.
